We have moved to Brazil…
Updated: 3 days ago

… temporarily!
By now, many of you are aware that after a period of time of seeking the Lord and conversations with our Board of Directors, the Katayamas have embarked on a 7-month journey to help our Crossover Global team mobilize the South American Church to engage unengaged-unreached people groups!
Currently, 24% of the world's population is still considered unengaged with the Gospel - no known local believers, no Bibles in their languages, no local churches and no missionaries. As part of making Christ's last command our first priority, we must increase our efforts by mobilizing the global church and deploying new pioneer church planters to these unengaged-unreached people groups.
Our time in South America is motivated Romans 10:13-15 that says:
For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?
And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
And how are they to preach unless they are sent?
As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
We are committed to mobilize churches in South America to become “sending churches” so that more workers are sent out to preach to those who have never heard! We are not evangelizing South Americans. With the exception of the tribes, it is significantly reached with the gospel. We are working with the churches here to mobilize them overseas or within tribal communities. This is the urgent task at hand in order to finish the Great Commission!
Below is an overview of the strategies we are implementing to increase our mobilization capacity in both Brazil and Peru.
In Brazil:
oversee the logistics of the Brazil office in a new city
develop new local church partnerships
position the team to operate at full capacity
increase donor engagement
In Peru:
officially open an office in Lima to mobilize the countries in the Andes Region of South America (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru)
host the first Crossover Global Conference in Lima, Peru
develop local church partnerships
develop donor engagement
